About Momofuku

Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Sydney, Toronto, Washington, DC, and Las Vegas (Noodle Bar, Ss m Bar, Ko, M P che, Seiobo, Noodle Bar Toronto, Daisho, Shoto, Fuku, Fuku+, CCDC, Nishi, Las Vegas, Fuku Wall St), a bakery established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi (Milk Bar), and a bar (Nikai). About Ko

Momofuku Ko opened in 2008. At Momofuku Ko (which means son of ), guests are served a tasting menu along a kitchen counter. Executive Chef Sean Gray uses seasonal ingredients, and changes the menu frequently based on market availability. Ko has two Michelin stars, which it has maintained since 2009. In 2015, Ko was awarded three stars by the New York Times.

The Ko Bartender will be warm, hospitable, yet professional and exacting while providing above and beyond service in line with Momofuku standards and values. We are looking for well-presented, organized individuals who want to be part of a team that tests limits. Bartenders are responsible for assembling and serving beverages while guiding guests through the Ko bar experience.


  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
  • Tailor each guest s bar experience sincerely
  • Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • Able to create relevant and creative beverages based on requirements of guests or managers
  • Adhere steadfastly to the stipulated standards
  • Constantly pushing and contributing to augmenting existing systems
  • Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing
  • Work cleanly and maintain organization during service
  • Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work according to standards and specifications set by the team in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate efficiently and respectfully
  • Show a strong value for teamwork
  • Take and give instruction constructively
  • Accurate maintenance of bar stock
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

Skills & Requirements

  • 1+ years of bartending experience in an establishment of similar standards
  • Must complete mise server quizzes and obtain at least 90% score
  • Must have strong food & wine knowledge
  • Must have a stellar track record
  • Strong attention to small details
  • Uncompromising work ethic with a relish for new challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
  • Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
